Hillsborough is a straight shot up 86 from our Chapel Hill base, and one of the most rewarding towns we light. We design, install, maintain, take down and store complete Christmas light displays for Hillsborough's historic homes, newer communities and downtown storefronts.
Carolina Sky Holiday Lights designs, installs, maintains, takes down and stores residential and commercial holiday light displays throughout Hillsborough and the surrounding Triangle.
Hillsborough splits into two display styles. The historic district — some of the oldest housing stock in the Triangle — suits warm, restrained designs: rooflines, porch garland, candle-style window light. Newer communities like Waterstone and Fiori Hill take the fuller treatment: big gabled rooflines, wrapped trees, matching wreaths.
Historic Downtown · Waterstone · Fiori Hill · Churton Grove · Fox Hill Farm · West Hillsborough
From the historic district to the newest build, if you're in Hillsborough we cover you — and we adjust the design approach to the architecture.
Historic-district restraint or full newer-construction displays — both custom-cut, both handled start to finish:
Historic homes need installers who won't put a staple through 200-year-old trim. We use clip and hanger systems that pierce nothing, and the crew works older Triangle roofs year-round with Carolina Sky Softwash.
Hillsborough's darker, less-lit streets mean displays carry further here — a well-fitted warm-white roofline on Churton Street or out toward Waterstone is visible in a way it wouldn't be in a brighter town.
One quote covers everything: design, lights, install, maintenance, January takedown and storage, with in-season fixes a text away.
Send the form or call, and we walk the property and measure — with an eye for the architecture, whether that's 1820 or 2020. One written quote covers the whole season. We install on schedule, maintain through December, and take down in January for labeled storage.
