Lit wreath and garland installation

Wreaths and garland are the finishing layer — the pieces at eye level that make a lit house feel decorated rather than just outlined. A properly sized lit wreath on the door, garland along the porch rail, matching wreaths on the front windows.

We supply, hang, light and power everything, then take it all down in January. No ladder against the siding, no extension cord across the porch, no wreath hanging from a nail you hope holds.

How it works

Size and place

Wreaths are sized to what they're hanging on — a 24-inch wreath disappears on a double door, and a 48-inch wreath overwhelms a sidelight. We measure at the design visit and place each piece where it reads from the street.

Hang and light

Each wreath and garland run is hung with proper hangers, lit with the same commercial-grade LEDs as the rest of the display, and powered from the nearest hidden run — down the door frame, along the railing, never across the walkway.

Tie into the timer

Everything joins the display's timer schedule, so the wreath on the door comes on with the roofline instead of on its own clock.

Down in January

We remove, box and store each piece with the rest of the display. Next season they go back up in the same spots without a second conversation.

What it costs

Wreaths and garland are the most affordable layer of a display and the one with the widest range. A single lit door wreath is a small line item; matching lit wreaths on eight windows plus garland across a full porch is a larger one. Cost tracks the size and number of pieces, and how high they hang — a gable-peak wreath that needs the lift costs more to place than a door wreath.

Everything is itemized in your quote separately from the roofline, so you can scale this layer up or down without renegotiating the whole display.

Do you supply the wreaths and garland or do I?
We supply everything. Like the lights, the wreaths and garland are commercial-grade pieces we source, store and stand behind — consistent sizing, lit with the same LEDs as the rest of the display, and covered by the same in-season maintenance. We don't hang customer-owned greenery, mainly because we can't warranty it or guarantee how it will look next to the rest of the display.
Can you hang a wreath on a second-story window?
Yes. Second-story windows, gable peaks and dormers are normal placements for us — the same ladders and lift we use on rooflines handle them. High wreaths are hung with proper anchors and their power is routed down the trim, so you get the look without a cord dangling down the siding.
Is the greenery real or artificial?
Artificial, and deliberately so. Commercial-grade artificial greenery holds its shape and color from November through January, where fresh-cut greens are usually dry and shedding by mid-December — especially around warm bulbs. The pieces we use are the realistic, full-bodied kind; from the walkway they read as fresh without the fire risk or the bald patch by New Year's.
